X for the Unknown And faceless crime

by Bindu 9. May 2011 17:28

I was watching the video of Lara Logan talking about the assault happened in Egypt. It was bone chilling to me. They said the crowd was saying she is a Jew and an Israeli. Whatever she is, she is a woman, a human being. How the courageous people of Egypt, who won their freedom without any help from outsiders could do such a heinous crime?

I wonder what kind of mindset make a mob to tear off a woman's clothes. She was separated from her group and the faceless crowd was pulling chunks of her hair in different directions and tearing her limbs. I can't think of Lara Logan's those moments without tears in my eyes. Will I ever understand the cruelty a mob can commit? Why nobody in that mob got a face to stop it?

She said, the women who covered from head to toe saved from the butchering mob. Those faceless men are the sons, fathers, and brothers of some women....Do they do the same thing to their own sisters, daughters and mothers?????May be they can do that....We never know. That will be another X, another unknown....
