V for adding value

by Bindu 12. May 2011 18:10

Like many of my fellow crafting people, I have time in my hand and not a lot of money to spend. I also love things with a Bindu twist/Bindu Design. Sometimes it may be just horrible. Sometimes, it will just add some value to my otherwise cheap looking outfits.

p>Sometimes ideas strike to me when I am looking on a book or watching TV. I got a long sleeve T shirt from kiddoo because she doesn't like the color and the size is big for her. It happens sometimes that she think it is going to be fine for her and don't want to check the size. Then it is my turn to work on it. This one also the same. It is a just a T-shirt, well, it is wearable, no complaints. Since I found it just not so great to wear, thinking of adding something to add the wearable value to it. That is what I normally do. A crocheted appliqué here or there, to give me a bit of satisfaction.

I got HeatnBond from the Walmart. Got some blue fabric. And as usual, got an idea to add some interest.

That is the fabric I had in hand. I used some stencils to cut 2 ovals and a circle from that fabric. Used HeatnBond to adhere the pieces to the shirt. Then to add the stability, used blanket stitch around the shapes using embroidery floss. The floss has the same color as the shirt. Look at the finished product!!!
