Transforming/up cycling old T shirts

by Bindu 16. November 2011 18:32

There are people to make quilts from your favorite T-shirts. But I think they are expensive. There are many ideas online to create some thing from those old t-shirts, without spending much money and time. Since the money is already spent on the T-shirts, it is not good to just put them in the trash.

This flower is made by Jeanne, and can be found here. She has an Etsy shop too.

I saw the T-shirt transformed in to a sideways shirt by Irish Attic. The descriptions are not that clear.

\irish Attic mentioned that the shiirt was inspired by the book, "99 ways to cut, sew, trim and tie your T-shirt".

With a sewing machine, making a headband with T-shirt will be easy. This one is from Lunch Hour Crafts, by Natasha. Isn't it pretty to have a nice t-shirt head band while working out? Natasha's Etsy shop is "Lunch Hour Crafts"

Then, there is the about.com tutorial to create a halter top from a t-shirt. This is the link
