Applique T-shirt

Today I did an applique on the T-shirt. I got to use fabric from few old T-shirts and updated another one. There are many books in the library about applique work. Everybody use fusible webbing now a days. I couldn't find the exact product at the nearby Walmart. I do have only Heat N Bond for new sew hem. I cut the pieces and used that to get the scraps attached to the T-shirt I wanted to update with applique. I just cut the shapes after drawing them on the scrap fabric. It is easy with my new fabric scissors.

The books and websites said it is easy to machine stitch. I am not great in sewing. Since it is a recycling project, why not try, right?

I used the brown thread to give a little contrast for the appliques. That is not great when you are just learning. Anyway, I did few embroidery stitches to make it presentable. Still, when looking close, it is not good. The idea to make applique T shirt is good, but the finished project is not that great, for me.But I can promise one thing...this is not the last of my applique projects.
