It is the season where leaves turn color. Even though I don't know the names of the plats, I love to see them. When I made a trip to Burrows Hall library on this Tuesday, I couldn't resist to touch the red leaves on the side of library. These plants are one of the reason I like to go to Burrows Hall library. I should have my camera with me...They are going to disappear so fast. The rich redness and the smooth texture made me pick few leaves. Here is what I made with a pair of leaves.

I applied some clear nail polish on them. Let us see how they are going to hold the color...I wore them on the same evening. Nobody seems to be bothered. So I guess, they were just looking like an ordinary earring.

I was getting busy with my beads for a day. I needed a light weight sparkly one for myself. The left over beads from the previous project was an obvious choice.

The next one is a bit more larger. I bought the components from the bead shop. With a lot of patience, time and few beads on a headpin, the result is light weight but big earring.

Since it is bright and I got few hours to myself, it is a blessed day of creations. Now, look at the pretty blue earrings I made!! They turned up well quickly. I added the split rings for added security. That means they are not getting to lost that faster.Since i am fond of these simple quick earrings, I may make a tutorial soon.
It is amazing that I gor some time to do some crochet too. It is a pattern from the Crochet World mag, "The Joy of Thread". Most of the patterns in the issue used size 10 crochet thread. But I used a thicker one from pattons. Actually, the project is not yet complete. i have some plans for these motifs and that is the reason they are made in black. Now it is a secret....I can't tell what I am going to make. I am worried that it may not worked as planned too...So patience please....

Hi my friends, The Spring is already officially started. I was hibernating for some time, right?
Hey, I am back. To start the season of crafts, I made a pair of earrings. The inspiration behind it is the circle of seasons and the spring flowers. The seasons are always going in rounds...Spring comes with new hopes and beauty.
These are made using glass beads from John bead company. I will make more crafts soon. At present I am trying to work on my very first crocheted vest. I need more yarn to continue the project. I would love to cross stitch the Tajmahal.
Most important, I should add more entries to this blog. I know, it is all about making more of my time...

I was looking through my old magazines to find some inspirations for a new project. I found the "aloha bracelets" by Cher Lash in a "Step by Step Beads" old issue. I made a bracelet using the technique and different kinds of beads when I got the magazine for the first time.

Today, while looking through my bead stash, I got inspired to make the bracelet using green dagger beads and the orange round beads.

I purchased the button from the craft store during my New Year visit. It turned out to be matching with the beads I used for the bracelet. Not that bad for a dull day and the expectation of freezing rain.

I have been thinking of making a tutorial for how to make a simple earring for some time. Finally, I decided to have one done today. So here is the method to make a simple dangling earring.
I started with 4 black beads and 8 bead caps. I love to use the lever back ear hooks, because, I kind of losing earrings in the winter. Lever back ear hooks will help to keep those dangling beauties on your ears while you are covered in wintery accessories.

Here is the bead, bead caps and an eye pin. I am going to make one with more than one dangle. That is why I choose the eye pin.

See how the bead and bead caps are threaded on the eye pin.
Now you need a plier to bend the eye pin above the bead segment.
The eye pin is bended about 90degree angle. Now I will be using a round nose plier, to create a loop on the end of the pin.

Now roll the plier towards the bead to create a loop on top of the segment. It will look like this now.

Now make another beaded segment with loop the same way.
I have a round closed jump ring. so I decided to attach that between the bead segments.

You can see that I am using the lever back ear hook. To give the earrings a finished look, I decided to add a silver plated bead at the end.
Now my easy dangling earrings are ready to get admired.

July is going to finish soon. The days started to get shorter. Then it will be Autumn... It is the colorful season. I love to go for long drive to see the fall colors.
My city will be so colorful. The nature is making everything change the color. The maple trees will have the spectacular red color. Then there are all those yellows, orange, purple...
Oh, my it is a world of colors. Things will start to change. We will have pumpkins, halloween, thanksgiving....Fall is the favorite season for many people. Even though, it is slightly cold, it is cheerful.
The feelings of Autumn gave me inspiration to create a collection, which I named Autumn collection. There are some black in the designs, because, Autumn is the reminder of the upcoming winter. It tells me to prepare for the winter with my jackets and sweaters and scarves.
I am still in the process of adding more to the Autumn collection.

I am creating more and more earrings. I know, I have no bracelets to go with them. If you see me on the road, you know that I am showing off no bracelets or bangles. It is just my ugly hands with un-manicured fingers.
I am not sure, why I am not into bead stringing. But I will tell you, I can't thread the nylon beading thread on a beading needle. The eye of the needles are so small to pass the thinnest thread I have. That frustrates me.
I was happy to use the 24 gauge non tarnish silver wire to create a pretty and fun pair of Banana earrings.I added that to my Artfire store also.
Don't have the patience to check my store?
Here, you can have a peek....

How you like it?

I learned to create something using the gage 20 wire. After 2 hours of continuous effort, I was able to get a somewhat satisfactory result. Look at the picture below.

I added a pearl dangling to give some more movement. The gold wire and the pearl are going together nicely, at least that is what I think.
I am trying to make some studs too. Not so sure to say that is a great success.
But I am glad to do something with the red porcelain red beads, which were calling my name for some time to give some attention. Here is a picture ...

That is all for today. Hopefully,I will be able to create some more beaded beauties tomorrow.
