I have a new collection

by Bindu 30. July 2010 18:46

July is going to finish soon. The days started to get shorter. Then it will be Autumn... It is the colorful season. I love to go for long drive to see the fall colors.

My city will be so colorful. The nature is making everything change the color. The maple trees will have the spectacular red color. Then there are all those yellows, orange, purple...

Oh, my it is a world of colors. Things will start to change. We will have pumpkins, halloween, thanksgiving....Fall is the favorite season for many people. Even though, it is slightly cold, it is cheerful.

The feelings of Autumn gave me inspiration to create a collection, which I named Autumn collection. There are some black in the designs, because, Autumn is the reminder of the upcoming winter. It tells me to prepare for the winter with my jackets and sweaters and scarves.

I am still in the process of adding more to the Autumn collection.

Here is a Facebook album from Danglingz:

Earrings earrings...

by Bindu 20. July 2010 04:13
I am creating more and more earrings. I know, I have no bracelets to go with them. If you see me on the road, you know that I am showing off no bracelets or bangles. It is just my ugly hands with un-manicured fingers. I am not sure, why I am not into bead stringing. But I will tell you, I can't thread the nylon beading thread on a beading needle. The eye of the needles are so small to pass the thinnest thread I have. That frustrates me. I was happy to use the 24 gauge non tarnish silver wire to create a pretty and fun pair of Banana earrings.I added that to my Artfire store also. Don't have the patience to check my store? Here, you can have a peek.... How you like it?

New skills

by Bindu 14. July 2010 22:57
I learned to create something using the gage 20 wire. After 2 hours of continuous effort, I was able to get a somewhat satisfactory result. Look at the picture below.

I added a pearl dangling to give some more movement. The gold wire and the pearl are going together nicely, at least that is what I think. I am trying to make some studs too. Not so sure to say that is a great success. But I am glad to do something with the red porcelain red beads, which were calling my name for some time to give some attention. Here is a picture ...

That is all for today. Hopefully,I will be able to create some more beaded beauties tomorrow.

Just another day

by Bindu 13. July 2010 17:11
I was so caught up in the work and felt so tired to write in my blog. I am glad to tell everybody that I made some more earrings. But, felt like I don't like my own designs. On top of that, I started selling Avon products.

Since I am very shy in talking to people, I did not talk to much people. Avon is a good idea to start talking to people. My Artfire studio has more items now. I feel very lazy to take photos. Recently, I found out that I can just scan the earrings and edit them to get nicer pictures. That is really a new idea. But I think, I still need to be patient to take nice pictures. Earrings can be very very difficult to place on the flat surface of the scanner as I work with round beads.

I am glad to tell the world that some of the pictures are better when scanned than photographed. Then I made another one, which I call Red Peppers

. It was strung on nylon thread. I never did bead stringing to make earrings. I have to confess, it was a very satisfying project.
