Meatballs with Ground Beef in Spaghetty Sauce:Bindu Blog version

by bindu 25. January 2010 04:06

I was a little busy during the week. That is why the Bindu Blogs suffered. For some reason or other I had to go out. I have some crochet pictures to share with you. Today is dedicated for cooking.

My daughter like spaghetti and meatballs very much. I used to buy the spaghetti sauce to make her favorite dish. But not any more. I found out an easy way to make my own spaghetti sauce and meatballs. Kids of all ages like the spaghetti with meatballs topped with melting cheese on top. I love that too. Now I know, you want to know how I made my yummy meatballs!!. Yes,  that is what I am going to do now.

I chopped 3 cloves of garlic, 2 green chillies and a small piece of ginger.

Then I chopped one big onion. Then I stir fired the onion, garlic and ginger for a few minutes to make it slightly tender.

I have my ground beef and canned tomato sauce ready to use.

When the onion is slightly cooled I added the ground beef. Of course, I like some herbs with it. I added some dried oregano, parsley, and bay leaves too. Then mix everything together. Ummm..don't forget to add the salt and pepper to taste. Don't use force to mix it. Just mix them gently. That is important. Otherwise the meatballs are going to get hardened. Now make small balls with your hand or use a spoon. I have the picture for that too!!

Now pour the can of tomato sauce to the pan and bring to a boil. You can add salt and herbs to the sauce according to your likes. I added some garlic powder. Add the meatballs and simmer covered for about 20 minutes.

Cook the spaghetti according to the package instructions. Now serve the spaghetti on the plate topped with meatballs in the sauce. Add the cheese on top of it. Now the delicious dish is ready to eat.

Hope you enjoy!!!
