Crochet earrings for a bright day

by Bindu 14. January 2010 21:50

It is a bright January day. I will say, unusually bright. I actually went to the balcony to take this picture. It is sunny and the temperature is in the plus side a bit.The trees are bare against the wind. The ground is still covered in the snow. The sunlight is reflecting on the snow. It dared me to to go to the balcony with my camera without wearing the jacket. It gives the kind of a fairy land feeling. There is no one in the place...just the silence and the snow.

I am still working on my multi colored afghan. One row at a time! It will take some time to make it a big blanket. Each new color makes it looks different. To give me a break fro the blanket, I made a pair of crocheted earrings.

The pattern is from the book "Crochet Adorned" by Linda Permann.

The book gives many ideas to embellish an existing garment with crochet motifs. I would like to do more projects from the book. There are two more earring patterns. I like to make some flowers and stitch them on to my old  t shirts to give them a new look.
