Crocheted Placemats

by Bindu 13. January 2010 20:07

Today I am showing crocheted placemats in the Bindu Blogs.I have some granny squares in my yarn stash. I made them a couple of months before. I connected 4 of them to make one placemat.See that one. The squared are joined with the same color as the final row. May be I can make a big square by continuing the granny square pattern.

Below is the granny square motif I started with. I like the shade of purple in this one. My daughter doesn't like purple. As a matter of fact she doesn't like pink either. So I just know one girl who doesn't like pink at all.

Today I found some more granny squares in the yarn box. Here we go with another place mat. The squares are joined with the black yarn. Then I did single crochet around it. I am proud to show of a small thing I made with my hands. Aren't they pretty?

The granny squares were made using the same pattern as my baby blanket mentioned on October 24, 2009 in Bindu Blogs.
