You might watch the move Avatar. May be not...Me and my husband were discussing which movie to watch on the Christmas day. I wanted to watch Alvin and the Chipmunks. He wanted to watch Avatar. It is science fiction. It is in 3D. I was not in a mood to watch some serious movie. My daughter is ready for both. But inclined to Avatar after her father's enthusiastic description about the hero going to live in some other planets and the great reviews the movie receiving....
He promised to buy the DVD of Alvin and the Chipmunks later. So, we compromised to watch Avatar. The weather prediction for Toronto was wind and rain. The morning was kind of much windy. so we decided to watch the movie at Kennedy Commons, you know the AMC theater.
We watched it. I am so glad that we went. James Cameron did a wonderful job in creating the great 3D experience.

Jake Skully, a marine got paralysed below the waist. He was going to Pandora because the officials promised him a cure for his paralysed legs. When he went to learn about the creatures of Pandora, he fell in love with Neytiri. He wanted to save the people of Pandora, eventhough it means to fight against his own people. In the end, humans are leaving to Earth. The scenary of Pandora is amazing. The waterfall, the birds,...everything took me to another world.
Now my kid is calling all her friends to tell them what a wonderful movie it is!! Then I decided to share the news about Avatar in Bindu Blogs.

I am very glad that I finished the wavy scarf and Sayoo was able gave her Christmas present to her teacher. But I am sad that I was too late to finish it so that I was not able to take a picture of it.
While all that was going one, I finished a page on Mahalo about How to Make a Chevron Crochet Scarf Now I have a new Vertical manager for Crochet. She has many ideas.I am thinking I will be able to make many more pages about Crochet and Beading in Mahalo soon.
By the way, I have started a new crochet project. My one blanket project is still going on. But I am glad to start a new Basket weave scarf in blue. I learned the pattern some time before from the Crochet for Dummies book. The pattern will ad some texture to the piece.
The pattern calls for front post double crochet and back post double crochet stitches.
You can see the texture created by the post stitches. Since I decided to have a multiple of 4 post stitches to create each textured blocks, my initial row of stitches is a multiple of 4 plus 2 (I have one dc in the beginning and one dc in the end of each row other than the post stitches. I will make some explanations for the post stitches ones the scarf is finished.

Yes, I am going for the test today. I am not sure, how is it going to be! Look at the unfinished scarf...AAAAAARGGGGGGGGG..I am supposed to finish it by today. Sayoo has to take it tomorrow as a teachers gift. Just two more lines of Chevron crochet....I am done. I know, it is easy to finish it tonight. I am making it in white, blue and pink. I decided to have long stripes. The colors are going nice together. When I was on the 3rd row, i didn't want to give it away! I wanted to keep it for myself. But I have too many scarves for the winter. So I am going to give it as a gift. Do people really appreciate a crocheted gift? I am not sure. Sometimes I feel that the recipient thinks it is an inexpensive gift. I wish, they look on the price of the yarns!! And what about the hours I spent to make it? So now a days I am a little hesitant to give out a handmade gift.
That are some worries of Bindu Blogs!!!I will get over them for sure..
